Base Build, Extras and Common Questions

Interested in a custom putter?  Just a few things you need to know.

  • We work through a wait list / queue and contact customers as their spot in the queue is ready.  If you are not on the waitlist, click here to join now, it's easy and does not require a deposit.

  • No need to worry - we'll work directly with you to ensure your request is doable and that you are happy with the planned build before proceeding when it's your turn!

Putter Base Price - $600 + Shipping

Includes:

  • Glass bead blasted 304 Stainless Steel or 1018 Carbon Steel ~360G head, note: this weight will change depending on neck style, hand softening, face milling and sound slot addition

  • Standard Helix face milling

  • Your choice of sight aid

  • Gently hand-softened bumpers

  • Basic "Ow & Co." cavity stamping, may be stamped normal, upside down, dancing, etc.

  • Optional headweight on the right bumper

  • Your choice of available paint colors (may include multiple colors)

  • True Temper Stepless YST Chrome Shaft

  • Ow & Co. Designed Aero Grip or basic pistol style grip (iOMIC, Golf Pride, Ping, etc)

  • Ow & Co. Designed Magnetic Closure headcover

  • Personalized Authenticity Certificate

 

Optional Extras:

  • One Piece Head with Integrated Plumbers Neck +100 (we're now milling all of our heads without necks due to the popularity of our welded necks.  This cost increase is due to the extra material and milling time, a 1 piece head will start at $700)

  • Additional or custom stamping (note, Ow & Co. branding is required somewhere on the putter), price depends on complexity, amount of stamping and stamps used.

  • Titanium Bling Ring (hand spun thin profile Titanium ring that adds a bit of jewelry to the shaft of your putter) - can be torched for different color effects + $40 (natural), + $50 (torched)

  • Custom Finishes (note, these are surface finishes and will patina and show signs of use over time)

    • Black Oxide finish + $50 (Carbon Head), + $75 (Stainless Head)

    • Smith and Wesson Black Oxide finish (we have Smith and Wesson do the finish, the exact same quality and processed used on their firearms) + $100 (Carbon Head), + $150 (Stainless Head)

    • Hand Torched finish + $75 (Champagne gold or bronze finish)

    • High buffed finish + $250

  • Custom Loft & Line adjustment (+$20), standard L/L is 3 degrees loft, 71 degrees lie

Shipping: 

  • Shipping is an additional cost and will be equal to our discounted cost via UPS.  Shipping must include insurance and signature confirmation.  If a customer decides to not accept signature confirmation, Ow & Co. Golf is not responsible if the package is lost or stolen.  Price within the USA is typically around $35.

Questions & Answers: 

Q: How do I inquire about placing an order?

A: Due to high demand, we are currently working off of a waitlist based model.  Click here and get your name on the list.  If you want to get your hands on a putter as soon as possible download and print out our ORDER FORM here,  review all of the different options and try your best at mocking up the design and filling in the details.  If a customer has their design finalized, we may bump them up higher in the list as it allows us to be more efficient.

Q: What is the base price of a completely built putter?

A: Since material and tooling costs have been changing often, please view or pricing page for the current price breakdown.

Q: How long does the custom putter process take?

A: Depending on the current backlog and the customization options you chose, we'll give you an estimated turnaround time when you put down a deposit.  We are now trying to work on multiple putters at once wherever possible to allow us to deliver more putters to customers, normally your putter will be done within 1-2 months from the start.

Q: Why can it take up to 2 months to build a putter?

A: Good question, answer is that it depends.  If you have a very basic build, this could be quicker.  Things like welded or custom necks, finishes other than bead blasted add to the time as each step has to be coordinated and wait times are associated with those steps.  Once the putter is built, we normally allow a few days for the paint to cure properly, we then take glamour shots of the putter and create a personalized authentication certificate.  All of this takes time and we don't like to rush.  The last reason is that all of the work is done by two guys with full time jobs and family commitments, so we work as hard as we can, with the time we have!  We promise, it will be worth the wait.

Q: Will you just sell a blank head that I can customize myself?

A:  We do not sell blank heads, our company name and/or logo must be stamped into the putter before we will sell it.

Q:  Can you engrave something on a putter?

A:  Our garage style putters are meant to be hand worked all around, we do not offer machine engraving on our handmade putters.

Q:  Can you create a custom stamp?

A:  It's possible if it's important to you, however it can take over a month to complete the stamp and there is a few hundred dollar up-charge for design time and custom machining.  We can discuss this option if a customer is interested.

Q:  What stamps are currently available?

A.  We've put together a list of currently available stamps.  Note, some stamps may only be used on certain areas of the putter and Ow&Co. Golf may restrict the use of certain stamps.
